The Rubrics for Trinitytide

Each Sunday after Pentecost is without exception a lesser Sunday of semidouble rite, (ie. such as are called in the Ordinary ordinary Sundays through the year,) and their Office, unless in a privileged Octave, is as explained below.

The Propers for the Season of Trinitytide after the Sacred Heart Octave are arranged in two parts.

Part I contains the entire Office until the Saturday after the 11th Sunday after Pentecost. After this day, Part I contains only part of the Sunday office, that is, the Collects, the Gospel Lessons with Homilies, and the Antiphons on Benedíctus and Magnificat.

Part II contains the rest of the Office of the Proper (apart from the above exceptions) from the 1st Sunday of August onwards.

When there are not eleven weeks before the I Sunday of August, the overplus is omitted, so as to begin the Propers of the 1st Sunday of August, whenever it occurs.

The Office of Trinitytide is said during the rest of Trinitytide as directed in the Psalter, with the Collect from the preceding Sunday as given in the Ordo.  The ferial Office of the Season is begun on the day after the Octave Day of the Sacred Heart (ie. on the Saturday before the 4th Sunday after Pentecost).
