Audíte me, qui sequímini
quod justum est, et quæritis
Dóminum : atténdite ad petram unde excísi estis, et ad cavérnam laci, de
qua præcísi
estis. Atténdite ad Abraham patrem vestrum, et ad Saram, quæ
péperit vos, quia unum vocávi eum, et benedíxi ei, et multiplicávi eum.
Consolábitur ergo Dóminus Sion, et consolábitur omnes ruínas ejus : et
ponet desértum ejus quasi delícias, et solitúdinem ejus quasi hortum
Dómini. Gáudium et lætítia
inveniétur in ea, gratiárum áctio et vox laudis.

Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye
that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole
of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and
unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and
increased him. For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all
her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her
desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found
therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. |

Tu autem, Dómine, miserére nobis.
R. Deo grátias. |

But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us.

Jurávi, dicit Dóminus, ut ultra jam non iráscar super terram : montes enim
et colles suscípient justítiam meam,
* Et testaméntum pacis
erit in Jerúsalem.

Juxta est salus mea, ut véniat : et
justítia mea, ut revelétur.

I have sworn, saith the Lord, that I will not
be wroth any more with the earth ; for the mountains and the hills shall
receive my righteousness : * And
the covenant of my peace shall be in Jerusalem.

My salvation is near to come, and my
righteousness to be revealed.

Atténdite ad me, pópule meus, et tribus mea, me audíte : quia lex a me
éxiet, et judícium meum in lumem populórum requiéscet. Prope est justus
meus, egréssus est salvátor meus, et bráchia mea pópulos judicábunt : me
ínsulæ
exspectábunt, et bráchium meum sustinébunt. Leváte in cælum
óculos vestros, et vidéte sub terra deórsum : quia cæli
sicut fumus liquéscent, et terra sicut vestiméntum atterétur, et
habitatóres ejus sicut hæc
interíbunt : Salus autem mea in sempitérnum erit, et justítia mea non
defíciet. |
Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my
nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to
rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my
salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles
shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. Lift up your
eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens
shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment,
and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation
shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. |

vivificábis nos, Dómine, et nomen tuum invocábimus :

not go back from thee ; thou, O Lord, shalt quicken us, and we will call
upon thy Name :

the light of thy countenance, and we shall be saved.

justum, pópulus meus, lex mea in corde eórum : nolíte timére oppróbrium
hóminum, et blasphémias eórum ne metuátis. Sicut enim vestiméntum, sic cómedet
eos vermis : et sicut lanam, sic devorábit eos tínea :
Salus autem mea in sempitérnum erit, et justítia mea in generatiónes
generatiónum. |
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people
in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye
afraid of their revilings. For the moth shall eat them up like a
garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall
be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation. |

how great this man is, who is entered in for the salvation of the nations
; he is the King of Righteousness, * Whose

an High Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedech.
