| After the Collect, the Closing Versicles are said in the following form: | |
|
V.
Dóminus vobíscum.
V.
Fidélium ánimæ
† per misericórdiam Dei requiéscant in pace. |
V.

|
Then is said secretly the final Pater, unless another Hour immediately follow; in which case the Triple or Dual Prayer is said silently, and the Opening Versicles are then said, as is prescribed in Common Forms. If, however, Compline is to follow immediately after Vespers, then the opening of Compline is said as prescribed in the Ordinary, that is, with neither the final Pater of Vespers nor any Dual Prayer before the beginning of Compline. |
|
| Pater noster. | Our Father. |
| The following V. and R. are then said aloud: | |
| V. Dóminus
† det nobis suam
pacem. R. Et vitam ætérnam. Amen. |
V.
May the Lord
† bestow his peace upon us. R. And life everlasting. Amen. |
